East West Hotel Basel

Stunning city views and proximity to the Rhine river. the hotel had funky decor and the manager was extremely helpful, providing useful advice during our stay. the complimentary breakfast was a great perk.

One incident with the cleaners was unpleasant. They entered our rooms without proper communication and took one of our pillows.

The hotel is in a prime location, right in the center of the city on the river bank. It is very close to the frequent trams, making it easy to get around. it is just across the bridge from Basel's old town, allowing easy access to the historic area. The rooms have huge windows overlooking the Rhine river, providing a beautiful view.

Some guests mentioned that the blinds in the room did not provide enough privacy, as there was no way to ensure that people from the building across the street couldn't see in.

Excellent central location with great views: This hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the city, overlooking the beautiful river. The views from the rooms are simply breathtaking.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was amazing, as it was close to the city center, right next to the old center, and very close to Messe. We loved being just across the bridge from the Cathedral, with stunning views of the city roofs and the river. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, and the room was beautifully designed and made good use of the space. The hotel facilities were top-notch, and we particularly enjoyed the lively and vibrant outside bar and restaurant. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, and they even arranged transportation for us from the airport to our cruise at a very reasonable fee. The breakfast was also very nice, and we felt safe walking through the historic old town. it was a wonderful experience.

Nothing not to love.

I had the most incredible view of the river from my room at East-West Riverside Hotel. Waking up to the picturesque scenery was truly breathtaking. The modern and clean room had a comfortable bed and a warm duvet. The TV had a great selection of channels and the wifi was fast. Despite the room being small, it was well-designed and had everything I needed. Plus, the path along the back of the hotel, which bordered the river, was absolutely beautiful.

Great location on the river with easy access to city centre attractions. Magnificent views from windows overlooking the boardwalk. Accommodating and helpful staff. Lovely terrace on the river. Some noise from the terrace at night, but soundproofing when the windows were closed was excellent. Suitable for those with physical handicaps.

Felt very much at home, no complaints at all.
